Jean-Paul Servais is appointed as the new Chair of OECD’s Corporate Governance Committee
Jean-Paul Servais, Chairman of the FSMA, IOSCO Board Chair, and member of the Board of the Belgian Corporate Governance Committee, has been appointed as the new chair of the OECD’s Corporate Governance Committee. His term of office will take effect on 1 January 2025 for a period of one year, renewable.
This Committee is composed of representatives of OECD member countries, G20 and Financial Stability Board jurisdictions and a number of international organisations.
The Committee is the central forum for corporate governance matters at the international level. It promotes and monitors the implementation of the G20/OECD corporate governance principles revised in 2023. It also provides internationally recognised reference works, such as the OECD Corporate Governance Factbook.
The Belgian Corporate Governance Committee welcomes this appointment, which will further enhance the promotion of good corporate governance at an international level. We wish Mr. Servais every success in carrying out his new mandate.
