Public consultation regarding the guidelines on intern control and risk management
The Corporate Governance Committee has launched a public consultation to assess if the guidelines respond to the expectations of the addressed companies.
On 10 Januray 2011 the Corporate Governance Committee has set up guidelines regarding internal control and risk management published in the light of the new bill on the reinforcement of corporate governance in listed companies dd 06 april 2010, and of the 2009 Belgian Corporate Governance Code.
The Corporate Governance Committee has launched a public consultation on these guidelines. The objective of the consultation is to assess if the guidelines respond to the expectations of the addressed companies.
The consultation is mainly addressed to companies with shares listed on a regulated market. Nevertheless, allstakeholders are invited to respond to this consultation.
The Corporate Governance Committee will publish the assembled responses (with consent of the participants) and will assess if it is necessary to make any changes to the guidelines or to revise the recommendations of the 2009 Belgian Corporate Governance Code.
