Revised 2020 Belgian Code on Corporate Governance to be released soon
The Corporate Governance Committee would like to thank those that responded to the public consultation on the proposal for a 2020 Belgian Code on Corporate Governance and those who attended the public hearing on this subject. Their input was very valuable and amendments were made to take account of a wide range of suggestions and comments.
The Corporate Governance Committee is now finalising its work on the final version of the 2020 Belgian Code on Corporate Governance. As the 2020 Code is closely intertwined with the revision of the Code on Companies and Associations, the Corporate Governance Committee will await the approval of the revised Code on Companies and Associations to publish the new 2020 Code.
The Corporate Governance Committee is at the same time pursuing its actions to receive a formal approval by Royal Decree as a result of which the revised 2020 Code will serve as the new reference code for Belgian listed companies.
